In order to devise a Museum Capacity Building Programme for Asia and the Pacific, UNESCO in cooperation with International Council of Museums and Asian Academy for Heritage Management has conducted museum surveys throughout the region. The survey includes two parts. Part I, the Training Needs Assessment Questionnaire, aims at forming an overview of how museums function in the region as a whole. Part II, the Specific Needs and Opportunities, focuses on the training needs of museum staff, and opportunities for collaboration between museums, and between museums and other institutions. More
